Paying for college is one of the largest purchases a person will make in their lifetime. These webpages are your first stop as you identify potential resources to help you fund a Penn State education.
Penn State students are considered for all federal financial aid programs, including grants, loans and work-study programs. Information about specific fund eligibility can be found at Penn State's Student Aid site. In addition, Penn State students may also be eligible for state grant funds from their home state. For Pennsylvania residents, specific information about the Pennsylvania State Grant Program can be found at The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency's website.
Scholarships
Penn State Berks students are also considered for scholarship support. Scholarships from Penn State typically come from the Office of Student Aid, the department that houses the student's major, and from the campus the student currently attends. First-year students do not have to apply for Berks funds since all students are automatically reviewed for eligibility, as it is based upon their prior academic performance. Applications for scholarships offered by the academic departments may be found on the website for a particular department.
All students are encouraged to apply for financial aid, regardless of perceived financial need.
