Course Description
PL SC 487 International Law and Organizations (3) Major topics and issues of international law with special attention to institutional arrangements (international organizations) through which that law operates. This trip is integrated into PL SC 487 as a requirement and provides practical and personal experiences of the subject matter, including meetings with diplomats, visits to international agencies, and discussions of course-related issues.
Included: roundtrip transportation to and from airport, roundtrip airfare, in-country travel pass, all breakfasts, half of all dinners, half of all lunches
Not Included: passport fees if you need a passport, half of all dinners and lunches, personal expenses

Saturday, March 7 - PSU-Berks to Newark to Geneva.
Sunday, March 8 - Arrive in Geneva. Transfer to Bern. Settle in accommodations. Walk around Bern. Dinner at Altes Tramdepot Brauerei Restaurant. D
Monday, March 9 - Walk around Bern. Lecture on The Internationale (the first great transnational workers organization that was launched in Switzerland). Visit Universal Postal Union monument and Swiss Parliament. BD
Tuesday, March 10 – Excursion to Zermatt.
Wednesday, March 11 - Transfer to Geneva. Settle in accommodations. Tour Geneva’s old city. Dinner at Les Armures. BL
Thursday, March 12– Visits to the World Meteorological Organization, UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and the World International Patent Organization. B
Friday, March 13 – Visit International Red Cross/Crescent Museum, International Labor Organization, and UN Geneva Headquarters. Lunch at ICRC Museum café. BLD
Saturday, March 14 – Excursion to Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Montreux and Chillon Castle. BL
Sunday, March 15 – Geneva to Newark to PSU-Berks. B
